Privacy Policy

This website collects limited personal information necessary for communication, scheduling, and client onboarding.

Information Collected

The site may collect:

  • Name and preferred name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Location (city, state/region, country)
  • Occupation, activities, and interests
  • Emergency contact information (name, phone, relationship)
  • Responses to screening questions, including therapy or support group history, current psychological concerns, personal goals, and expectations
  • Commitment acknowledgments and electronic signature
  • Information voluntarily submitted through contact or waitlist forms

Sensitive Information

The client intake form collects information about therapy history and psychological well-being. This information is collected solely to ensure appropriate support and to understand your background before beginning work together.

This sensitive information is accessible only to Valentina and is not shared with any third party. It is treated with the same level of confidentiality as session content. The one exception is described below, and it applies only to free Focusing practice sessions.

Free Focusing Practice Sessions

Valentina is completing training toward Focusing certification, expected in 2028. Part of that training requires her to work with practice clients and to share written reflections on those sessions with Focusing Resources, her training organisation.

If you take part in a free Focusing practice session, this is what that means. Valentina writes a reflection on the session and shares it with Focusing Resources for training purposes. For some sessions she may want feedback on a particular moment. She will ask you in advance, before that session. If you agree, the session is recorded and transcribed using Granola, a third-party notes service. She then takes only the part she needs, removes your name and anything identifying, and submits that excerpt to Focusing Resources — they are not told who you are. The rest is deleted. You can say no and still have the session, and you can ask her to stop recording at any point, without giving a reason. If you change your mind afterwards, tell her and the recording and transcript are deleted.

Paid Focusing sessions are not recorded and nothing about them is shared with Focusing Resources. Neither are dreamwork sessions, private work, or circles. This applies only to the free practice sessions, and only because they are the training itself.

You will be told all of this before booking, not on the day.

Use of Information

Information is used solely for:

  • Responding to inquiries
  • Evaluating readiness to begin working together
  • Scheduling sessions
  • Communicating about programs
  • Contacting your emergency contact in the event of a safety concern
  • Administrative purposes

Personal data is not sold, rented, or shared for marketing purposes.

Scheduling Platform

This website uses Cal.com for appointment scheduling.

When you book a session, your name, email address, and selected time may be processed by Cal.com in accordance with their own Privacy Policy.

Valentina does not control how third-party services store or process data. Please review Cal.com's privacy policy for details.

Analytics & Advertising

This site uses PostHog to understand how visitors move through it — which pages are read, which are left quickly, and where people get stuck. PostHog records page views, clicks, and session replays. It is never given your name or your email address, and nothing you type into a form on this site is ever sent to it.

That data is pseudonymous rather than anonymous. No name is attached to it, but your browser is given a random identifier that persists between visits, and PostHog can see an approximate location from your network address. This is a small practice, and saying that plainly seems better than calling it anonymous.

This site also uses the Meta pixel, so that a visit arriving from an Instagram or Facebook post can be measured, and so those visitors can be reached again. Meta is sent the address of each page you open here, and is told when one of three things happens: you ask for the notes on remembering dreams, you join a waiting list, or you open the booking calendar. It is told nothing you write, and it is never told that a session was actually booked.

Neither of them runs on the client pages under /clients. Those pages carry the intake form and the Focusing consent, so they are excluded from the Meta pixel entirely and are never session-recorded.

Reasonable administrative and technical measures are taken to protect personal information.
